Well, what a cracking night! I've just woken up with a killer hangover and have to get down to Exmoor by this evening for a 'Backup' multi-activity week. Bit of a mission. What a great night though. It was so nice to see everyone. I'm so privileged to have so many fantastic and supportive friends. I can't believe how many different groups of people turned out. The three biggest surprises had to be the various arrays off old mates on Fin's table, Dan Chapman's table and John Curtis' table. I couldn't believe all my old cadets from the AIS days were there, and so grown up. It made me swell with pride to see them all doing so well. I really hope everyone stays in touch. It would be such a shame if it's another 10 years before we all meet again so don't be shy and drop me a line. My email is jimmy@jimmygoddard.com and I'd love to hear from you all. The entertainment for the evening had to be the Richardson duo on the auction. JR may be knocking on a bit these days but he can still entertain a crowd.! I reckon he could flog sand to the Arabs given a microphone and captive audience. Anyone who can shift a weekend in his Norfolk bachelor pad for over 2 grand as a romantic country break should be up for the salesman of the year award! And of course the big star of the evening was Abbie Larman who organized the whole event. What a great job she did. I think she nearly had a heart attack when numerous people suggested to her that we do it every year so on behalf of everyone a big THANKS!! Well, I really must leave it at that as I've got to get on the road. I just wanted to thank everyone for coming and making it such a memorable night. Keep your eyes peeled for a full ball report on the fund raising section of the site but it may not be for a week or two until my bro gets back from his hols.
